Melanie Teed-Murch leaves toymaker amid changing retail landscape.

The president of Toys ‘R’ Us Canada has resigned from her position after more than two decades with the company.

According to The Globe and Mail, Melanie Teed-Murch has tendered her resignation to the toy company to pursue other opportunities. At the time of this writing, Toys ‘R’ Us Canada has not appointed an interim president to fill the role that Teed-Murch will be vacating.

Toys ‘R’ Us has 82 stores across Canada and e-commerce sites Toysrus.ca and Babiesrus.ca, dedicated to the region. Toys ‘R’ Us shuttered its doors last year and returned recently as ‘Tru Kids.’ The retailer just announced that it will launch six new experiential-based stores next year.
