Univision Communications has promoted Ignacio Meyer to the position of senior vice president, enterprise development.

Meyer, who previously served as vice president of business development, will continue to lead the Experiential Marketing unit within Univision Enterprises and also direct the development and building of brand extensions and business opportunities for clients and partners.

“Over the last year Univision Enterprises has hit many milestones and successes, and several are in thanks to Ignacio, whose commitment and results make this promotion well deserved,” says Rick Alessandri, executive vice president, enterprise development, to whom Meyer will report. “Ignacio’s strategic development skills will no doubt continue his successful track record in new business and revenue diversification, brand extensions and product integration, and will drive future results as we continue to strive to provide our world-class partners with innovative opportunities to connect with Hispanic consumers.”

In his time at Univision Meyer has been instrumental in maximizing the company’s major special event franchises, playing an integral role in Univision’s first-ever presenting sponsorship and helping to launch AutoAmigo, the automotive industry’s first national U.S. bilingual car buying program for Hispanics.

Prior to joining Univision, Meyer served as chief executive officer at Wireless Latin Entertainment, a mobile entertainment services provider and digital consulting company.
