Toy company Tomy International has promoted Willie Wilkov to chief marketing officer, a position that has been vacant since mid-2013.

Wilkov joined the company in 2009 as vice president of marketing communications, and rose to senior vice president of marketing communications and branding in 2013.

As CMO, Wilkov will be responsible for the company’s corporate identity as well as working with key licensing partners of Tomy. He will continue to spearhead all marketing communications initiatives, including the company’s consumer, trade and brand marketing campaigns, as well as oversee consumer insights and creative services for both toy and infant brands across the organization.

“Over these last five years Willie has brought an incredible level of strategic thinking and innovation to Tomy,” says Gregory Kilrea, president and chief executive officer, Tomy International. “He has infused energy into our brands and has been an integral part of driving our corporate culture. We are honored to have him as a part of our organization and look forward to his future contributions as CMO.”
