European children’s entertainment studio TeamTo has tapped Mary Bredin to serve in the newly created role of creative development producer.
As a new member of the company’s senior creative team, Bredin will seek out new talent for TeamTo’s development projects with a focus on original stories from unique points of view. She will work to recruit new writers, directors, artists and other creatives.
“I am very happy to welcome Mary on board to drive our production slate,” says Corinne Kouper, senior vice president, development and production, TeamTO. “She is smart, focused and very talented in show development and writing, with unique industry knowledge and skills. Mary and I have shared a passion for telling great stories ever since we worked together 20 years ago on Disney’s first CG preschool show ‘Rolie Polie Olie.’”
The appointment underscores TeamTo’s plan to position itself as a global content creator. The initiative was cemented with the creation of an office in Los Angeles in 2011 and Beijing in 2016.
Most recently, Bredin served as the executive vice president of content and strategy of Guru Studio, where she developed and co-executive produced the company’s first originals series “Justin Time.” Prior roles include positions at Nelvana, Disney International Headquarters in London, Canal+ and Telefilm Canada
