“Star Trek” Global Franchise Management has appointed Stan Madaloni as creative director.

Madaloni will oversee consumer-facing visualization of the brand for digital, social and physical applications. He will work with the company out of Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout Productions in Santa Monica, Calif.

He previously served as president and chief creative officer at Mada Design and studio2pt0. Both Madaloni’s previous firms specialized in the licensing industry and have worked on various “Star Trek” projects including the Star Fleet Academy style guide and the “Star Trek” Discovery” Fight For The Future exhibit at the Paley Center.

CBS unveiled the “Star Trek” Global Franchise Management earlier this year. The group is tasked with discovering new brand opportunities for the sci-fi franchise outside of broadcasting and streaming.
