Three executive appointments were recently named at A Squared Entertainment, current producer of "Martha & Friends" with Martha Stewart and others.

Gregory Payne was appointed to chief operating office and general counsel, where he will oversee legal, administrative and day-to-day operations. He previously served as executive vice president of legal and business affairs for DIC Entertainment.

Darren Romanelli was named creative director of the media company. He will lead and develop creative materials to support the A Squared Entertainment brand and its digital animation projects. Romanelli was behind the Fraggle Rock merchandise and clothing launch in partnership with the Jim Henson Company. He also co-founded StreetVirus, which has worked with clients such as Disney, Fox, Warner Bros. and Converse.

Sidney Iwanter was appointed to story editor. He previously served as vice president of programming, strategic development and acquisitions for Fox Kids, where he worked on animated series such as "Goosebumps," "Beetlejuice," "Batman: The Animated Series," "X-Men," "Red Planet," "Silver Surfer" and "Spider-Man."

A Squared Entertainment is also currently producing "Secret Millionaire's Club" with Warren Buffet and "Gisele & the Green Team" with Gisele Bündchen.
