Steve Hornesy and Sarah Muller will Join SPTN’s senior management team.
EUROPE–Sony Pictures Television Networks has appointed Steve Hornesy as vice president of the company’s entertainment portfolio and Sarah Muller as vice president of the network’s U.K. children’s and youth portfolio.
In his new role, Hornsey will oversee the company’s portfolio of channels including Sony Movie Channel and Movies4Men.
Hornesy is currently the director of general entertainment U.K. and Northern Europe at Turner, where he has been responsible for programming Turner’s pay, free and SVOD entertainment services including TNT, truTV and TCM. Previously he served as general manager at UKTV.
Meanwhile, Muller will lead the programming and development branch of SPTN’s linear and AVOD children’s bands including POP, Tiny Pop, Pop Max and the newly launched AVOD service POP Fun, as well as SPNT’s music channel portfolio.
Currently the head of children’s at Channel 5, Muller has been responsible for the children’s programming block Milkshake. She has a long track record in children’s programming with previous roles including a 10-year stay at the BBC with positions as head of acquisitions and creative director at CBBC, where she developed series including “Danger Mouse” and “Strange Hill High.”
