Sesame Workshop has appointed Kay Wilson Stallings as senior vice president of content development.

In this role, Stallings will oversee creative development and pilot production globally of all original content for multiple platforms. She will also explore new production models and partnerships to develop new programs, processes and talent for the creative group.

Stallings most recently served as senior vice president of production and development at Nickelodeon. In her 16 years with the company, she oversaw development of all original series production for Nickelodeon Preschool and Nick Jr., Nickelodeon’s digital channel. She has also worked in production roles for "The Oprah Winfrey Show," "The Jerry Springer Show," "Court TV" and several pilot programs.

“We are thrilled to have Kay on board to lead the charge on developing exciting new educational content,” says Brown Johnson, executive vice president and creative director, Sesame Workshop. “Kay has an outstanding track record of bringing teams and ideas to life, that have led to some of the most successful children’s programs around today and we look forward to her bringing that keen eye to new projects for the workshop.”
