Scripps Networks Latin America has promoted two executives as the company plans its continued rollout of Food Network across the region.

Adriana Alcântara has been promoted to vice president of marketing and production, and Claudia Clauhs has become vice president of programming for the division, effective immediately.

Both positions are based in São Paulo, Brazil and report directly to Márcio Fonseca, managing director, Scripps Networks Latin America.

“Both Adriana and Claudia have played integral roles in launching Food Network in Brazil, and I look forward to working with both of them in their expanded roles to help further launch the brand across Latin America,” says Fonseca.

Prior to joining Scripps Networks, Alcântara was head of movies, Apple where she helped launch iTunes across Latin America and Iberia; developing the company’s programming strategy and managing all local acquisitions. Before that, she held various programming and production leadership positions at Oi TV, Globosat, Viacom Networks, Disney and NBC.

In her newly-created position, Clauhs will develop and execute the programming strategy for Food Network across the region including the scheduling of original series, specials and stunts. She will also help identify new talent and implement creative and editorial decisions for Food Network. Clauhs joined Scripps Networks in 2013 as director programming.

Prior to joining Scripps Networks, Clauhs served as factual and lifestyle programming director at FOX, where she oversaw the national and international content and devised programming strategies for channels including National Geographic and FOXLife.
