Business development firm Marvin Traub Associates has appointed Rick Platt to serve as the firm’s managing director of licensing.

In his new position, Platt will be responsible for advancing key strategic partnerships through licensing as well as identifying growth opportunities for brands worldwide.

Prior to joining the firm, Platt held positions as division president at Sequential Brands Group and president of Brand Matter, and has worked with a variety of clients and brands including the National Football League, Major League Baseball, Cannon, Royal Velvet, Fieldcrest, Waverly Home, Polaroid, Bombay Company, Linens N Things, Ellen Tracy, Caribbean Joe, Revo, William Rast, Heelys, Robert Graham and Hudson Jeans, among others.
