Children’s magazine publisher Redan Publishing has reorganized its executive structure, appointing Jenny O’Connor and Julie Jones as joint managing directors.

O’Connor, who founded Redan alongside Robert Sutherland and Diana Turner in 1990, currently serves as group editorial director and will continue to edit the multi-character preschool magazine Fun To Learn Friends, while taking a larger role in the running of the company as a whole.

Jones is currently the company’s publishing director and will maintain her links with the licensing and distribution side of the business in addition to taking on new responsibilities in the overall development of the publishing house. She started at Redan in 2003 as marketing manager, and became a key decision-maker on the licensing side of the business when she was promoted to publishing director in 2005.

Co-founder Sutherland will assume the role of group chairman, focusing on the development of the U.S. side of the business, which has new launches in the pipeline and a new licensing deal to be announced soon.
