Nickelodeon Viacom Consumer Products has promoted Marianne James to the position of vice president, consumer products, U.K. and Ireland, and retail sales and marketing, Europe.

In her new role, James will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing consumer products retail strategies as well achieving the department’s revenue targets.

James joined Nickelodeon Viacom Consumer Products in 2011 as director, retail sales and marketing, EMEA, and licensing, Pan-Europe. During her tenure, she played a role in the launch of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

“Marianne is a real asset to Nickelodeon and Viacom. She is able to creatively take on the challenges of the industry and discern opportunities for business growth,” says Mark Kingston, general manager and senior vice president, consumer products, EMEA and Australia, Nickelodeon Viacom Consumer Products. “Already an integral member of the team, I am looking forward to seeing how she and our business flourish as she takes on this new set of responsibilities.”
