Jose Castro will now oversee new business opportunities for the network’s properties across all categories including apparel, accessories and home goods.

NORTH AMERICA–Nickelodeon Consumer Products has named Jose Castro to serve as the company’s senior vice president of softlines.

In his new role, Castro will manage existing partnerships as well as develop new business opportunities for the network’s portfolio of properties across all categories including apparel, accessories and home goods. He will also serve as the liaison for all global fashion collaborations that pair Nick’s IP with trendsetting designers and brands.

In addition, he will continue to oversee specialty and department store retail accounts to broaden the company’s in-store footprint.

Most recently, Castro served as senior vice president of retail development for Nickelodeon. During his tenure, he oversaw all specialty, e-commerce and emerging accounts including Toys ‘R’ Us and Amazon. He also worked closely with more than 30 accounts’ key merchant and marketing groups to ensure consistent placement of Nick’s licensed products in every relevant category.

In recent years, he helmed programs like “Paw Patrol’s Adventure Beach” at TRU, a JoJo Siwa apparel and accessories line at Claire’s and a Nick ‘90s fashion program at Macy’s, among other key merchandising statements.
