Netflix has appointed Jackie Lee-Joe as chief marketing officer.

Lee-Joe comes to the streaming platform company having served in a similar role at BBC Studios since 2015. She also previously worked at Skype, where she was global director for audience, entertainment marketing and broadcast media. In total, Lee-Joe comes to Netflix with more than 20 years of experience with companies including Virgin Mobile, Carphone Warehouse and Orange.

“Netflix is a much-loved and respected brand, entertaining audiences everywhere with its rich and thought-provoking original programming,” says Lee-Joe. “I’m thrilled to be joining one of the world’s most creative, dynamic and fearlessly innovative companies.”

Lee-Joe will start at Netflix in September, based in Los Angeles. She succeeds Kelly Bennett, who announced his retirement from the company earlier this year.
