Mellany Masterson, Lily Yan, Madeline Ferguson and Jessica Brinder have all taken on new roles spanning consumer products, TV sales and more.

NORTH AMERICA–Nelvana, a subsidiary of Corus Entertainment, has unveiled a number of changes to its internal structure, including key appointments and promotions in a variety of roles.

First, Mellany Masterson has been appointed to serve as the company’s vice president of sales, consumer products and international.  In her new role, Masterson will manage Nelvana’s consumer products business globally as well as content sales outside of the Americas and Europe. Masterson joins Nelvana from Canadian toy company Imports Dragon. Previously, she served as the director of licensing broadband TV at Nelvana.

Meanwhile, Lily Yan has been appointed as head of brands for Nelvana. In her new role, she will manage brands on a global basis including content and distribution strategy. Yan will also manage brand partnerships with licensors and rights holders. Yan is an industry veteran who has over 20 years of experience at Nelvana.

Next, Madeline Ferguson has promoted to senior international sales manager. In this role, Ferguson will develop and execute strategies to maximize content and consumer product sales in Asia, Australia and the U.K. She will also work closely with Masterson to achieve these goals.

Finally, Jessica Brinder has stepped into the role of senior content distribution manager. In this position, Brinder will manage the sales of Nelvana’s content in the VOD space.
