The Museum of London has appointed Richard Sweet as its new director of enterprise.

The Museum of London has appointed Richard Sweet as its new director of enterprise.

In the new role, Sweet will manage the museum’s commercial activity including retail, licensing and corporate events, as well as other profit-making functions.

As director of enterprise, Sweet will also be responsible for the Museum of London’s visitor service team.

“Leading international museum brands have used their amazing content as a foundation for enterprise, ultimately securing their future by reinvesting the profit they generate,” says Sweet. “I am very excited by the potential of the Museum of London to develop it commercial enterprises and become more financially secure through profit-making activities.”

Sweet joins the Museum of London from the charity Shelter where he was managing director of its trading company.
