NORTH AMERICA–Meredith has appointed Tom Harty as the company’s president and chief executive officer and Steve Lacy as the executive chairman, effective immediately.

In his new role, Harty will continue to oversee Meredith’s national and local media groups and spearhead the integration of the Time Inc. acquisition, detailed in November. In addition, he will become responsible for Meredith’s finance and legal functions.

As executive chairman, Lacy will work with Harty to develop Meredith’s strategic agenda, continue to represent Meredith to investors, lead board activities and improve upon his role in media industry activities and legislative initiatives.

Meredith was listed as the No. 2 Top 150 Global Licensor, reporting $22.8 billion in retail sales in 2016, according to License Global’s exclusice annual report.
