Ynon Kreiz ha signed on to help lead the company’s board of directors.
NORTH AMERICA–Mattel has appointed Ynon Kreiz to serve as the non-executive chairman of its board of directors.
In his new role, Kreiz will leverage his expertise across digital, media and entertainment to help develop the brand’s transformation strategy. He succeeds Christopher A. Sinclair, who currently serves as executive chairman of the Mattel board and is the company’s former chief executive officer.

“As we continue our steps to transform Mattel for the future, we are committed to regularly refreshing and diversifying the composition of our board to ensure rapid progress toward delivering the growth and profitability expected of a toy market leader and innovator,” says Margo Georgiadis, chief executive officer, Mattel. “Ynon's thought leadership is instrumental to helping us unlock the value of our incredible global IP portfolio and deepen our consumer engagement for a digital age. I am excited about partnering with him even more deeply to accelerate our progress.”
