Ynon Kreiz ha signed on to help lead the company’s board of directors.

NORTH AMERICA–Mattel has appointed Ynon Kreiz to serve as the non-executive chairman of its board of directors.

In his new role, Kreiz will leverage his expertise across digital, media and entertainment to help develop the brand’s transformation strategy. He succeeds Christopher A. Sinclair, who currently serves as executive chairman of the Mattel board and is the company’s former chief executive officer.

Kreiz has served as director at Mattel since 2017. His previous roles include chairman and chief economic officer at Maker Studios; chairman and chief executive officer at Endemol Group; and co-founder, chairman and chief executive officer at Fox Kids Europe N.V.
