Scott Nygaard is on board to develop business recommendations and assist in new practices.

NORTH AMERICA–Mastermind Toys has tapped Scott Nygaard to serve as the company’s chief special advisor to its board of directors, effective immediately.

In his new role, Nygaard will develop strategic business recommendations and assist in the implementation of new practices across multiple sectors including purchasing, product procurement, vendor relations and merchandising.

Most recently, Nygaard served as senior vice president of merchandising at Target, where he held various leadership roles across 20 years.

“With a remarkable track record, Scott brings a wealth of U.S. retail, merchandising and vendor relations expertise to Mastermind Toys, plus a deep understanding of the current retail landscape,” says Jon Levy, chief toy merchant, co-founder and chief executive officer, Mastermind Toys.  “He will add a fresh new perspective to our senior executive team and to our Board of Directors.”
