Funko has tapped Michael Lunsford to serve on its board of directors, effective Oct. 31.

In his new role, Lunsford will leverage his experience in the entertainment field as a leader of direct-to-consumer and B2B companies.

"Mike brings unique skills to our Board of Directors," says Ken Brotman, chairman, Funko Board of Directors and founding partner, ACON Investments. "As a key member, he will help us pursue new markets and opportunities as we continue to produce great products for our fan base in the U.S. and overseas."

Lunsford's resume includes roles such as chief executive officer at EarthLink and Rhapsody, as well as chief executive at RealNetworks, SK Planet, Inc. and Shopkick. He has also served on the board of directors of Shopkick, Rhapsody, Frankly, Covad and IslandWood, among other companies.
