Kerry Phelan will continue to spearhead new brand extensions spanning location-based and live entertainment venues, consumer products, brand partnerships and more.

NORTH AMERICA–Lionsgate has promoted Kerry Phelan to the position of president of the company’s global franchise management division.

Since joining the studio three years ago, Phelan has helped Lionsgate leverage its portfolio of film and TV properties across multiple platforms. Under her direction, the newly-formed franchise management group has already created brand extensions spanning location-based and live entertainment venues, consumer products, licensed merchandise, brand partnerships and an array of promotional ventures. Recent projects include the Lionsgate Movie World outdoor theme park in Korea as well as the Lionsgate Entertainment World indoor theme park in China.

Prior to joining Lionsgate, Phelan was head for consumer products and licensing for DreamWorks Animation. She also worked at Pixar, overseeing the consumer products and marketing partnership business during the launch of Cars, as well as Lucasfilm and LEGO Systems.
