Gaumont International Television has hired Tim Stephen to the newly created position of senior vice president of business and legal affairs.

Gaumont International Television has hired Tim Stephen to the newly created position of senior vice president of business and legal affairs.  

Stephen will be responsible for negotiating a wide range of agreements spanning traditional scripted programming, new media platform agreements, traditional television licenses and all aspects of production. 

“With four series in production, it is the perfect time to expand our business and legal affairs department," says Sam Semon, executive vice president, business operations, Gaumont, to whom Stephen will report. "Tim has more than 20 years of experience in all areas of entertainment, and with his background and experience, he is the perfect compliment to our talented team.”

Prior to joining Gaumont, Stephen served for six years as executive vice president of business and legal affairs for Generate, where he was instrumental in completing the sale of the company to Alloy Digital. Preceding Generate/Alloy, Stephen held business and legal affairs positions at Cartoon Network and Lionsgate.
