FremantleMedia has appointed Trish Kinane as president of entertainment programming–American Idol, The X Factor and America’s Got Talent, at FremantleMedia North America.

Kinane, who is currently the president of worldwide entertainment, will take on the new role Aug. 1. She will initially report to Cecile Frot-Coutaz, the incoming chief executive officer.

In her new post, Kinane will be responsible for overseeing all strategic, day-to-day operational and creative aspects of “American Idol,” “The X Factor” and “America’s Got Talent.” She will also work closely with FOX and NBC, as well as FMNA’s production partners Syco and 19.

“Trish Kinane is a preeminent TV production executive with decades of experience at the forefront of the industry,” says Frot-Coutaz. “Trish’s experience, combined with her remarkable natural creative instincts and inherent management and production know-how make her the perfect choice to ensure the continued success of these market leading shows.”

Prior to joining Fremantle, Kinane served as joint managing director of Action Time.

Throughout her career, Kinane has created and worked as executive producer on a wide range of highly acclaimed and successful international programs in U.K. and around the world.
