Saban Brands has appointed Daniel Castle as managing director of strategic business development, where he will work in close collaboration with Saban’s president Elie Dekel to expand the company’s global reach.

In his new role, Castle will focus on building the company’s business through organic growth and expanding its reach with new licensing and business development as well as the acquisition of additional brands.

Castle joins Saban from Iconix Brand Group where he was vice president of international and business development. In this position he was able to transform the Iconix’s global footprint through direct-to-retail and strategic partnerships, and sign and manage what eventually became eight Iconix Joint Venture offices around the world.

Prior to Iconix, Castle was with In Private, a private-label woven manufacturer, where he managed the mass market retail and department store accounts.

“We are delighted to welcome Dan to our strategic leadership team,” says Dekel. “With his unparalleled experience in fashion and apparel brands, combined with his strong ties in overseas markets across Europe and Asia, he is the perfect executive to help expand Saban Brands on a worldwide basis.”
