Mars has upped Andrew Clarke to the position of global president, Mars Wrigley Confectionery, effective in September.

“Andrew is the right person to lead Mars Wrigley Confectionery into its next chapter,”  says Grant F. Reid, chief executive officer, Mars.  “His track record for driving ambitious change while delivering results is the fuel our business needs to thrive in an ever-changing consumer and retail landscape. Andrew brings great global perspective, combined with a principled approach to leadership and passion for engaging and inspiring teams.”

Clarke currently serves as the company’s chief marketing and customer officer. He joined Mars in the U.K. in 2000 and has held a variety of positions within the company across chocolate, pet care and food.

Clarke will be based out of Mars Wrigley Confectionery's global headquarters in Chicago, Ill.
