Jesper Poulsen has been promoted to vice president of artist digital media and brand development at licensing agency Epic Rights.

Poulsen, who has more than a decade of experience in artist brand development, licensing, product development and digital media, previously held the post of executive director of artist and brand development.

In his new position, Poulsen’s focus will be to develop digital strategies to increase fan engagement that result in maximizing revenue across core sectors of artists’ business handled by Epic Rights including official websites, e-commerce, fan experiences, VIP ticketing and social media.

Poulsen will continue to identify, prospect, structure, negotiate and secure strategic partnerships on behalf of artists such as AC/DC, KISS, Aerosmith, John Lennon, Def Leppard, Billy Idol, Woodstock, CBGB and other clients.

Poulsen joined Epic Rights in March 2014. Prior to joining the company, Poulsen worked with Epic Rights' chief executive officer Dell Furano at Live Nation as director of licensing development. He came to Live Nation from Signatures Network, again working with Furano, where he developed company-wide technology platforms for artists’ brand licensing programs.

“Jesper has proven to be a key member of the executive team at Epic Rights over the past two years," says Furano, to whom Poulsen will continue to report. "He has broad knowledge of all genres of music, as well as a diversity of artists that is very impressive, plus he has a deep understanding of the latest technologies and what’s trending in social media. He’s a dedicated team player in the development of artists’ brands through licensing and digital media, and as a fan himself, he has a unique sensibility how to engage other fans through the creation of innovative experiences and opportunities that ultimately yield stronger global brands for all of the artists we represent.”
