Endemol North America has announced a series of executive promotions as it continues to grow its unscripted series slate and push into new genres including scripted and syndicated daytime.

Caroline Baumgard has been named executive vice president of development; Rob Day is now executive vice president of production; Ron Milkes has been promoted to executive vice president of operations, strategy and corporate development; and Rob Smith is now executive vice president of programming.

“We have tremendous strength throughout the executive ranks at Endemol USA. These promotions reward the dedication and the outstanding level of achievement of our accomplished team,” says David Goldberg, chairman and chief executive officer, Endemol North America. “I am continually impressed by this team and their creativity, strategic thinking and ability to work with our network and distribution partners to deliver some of the best shows on television and other platforms.  I look forward to shaping the future of our business with them.”

Over the past decade, Baumgard and Smith have been responsible for multiple programming successes, creatively shepherding and overseeing some of Endemol’s most popular reality shows, notably “Deal or No Deal,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and “Wipeout.”

Baumgard will continue to spearhead all non-scripted development, including original and adapted international formats for the U.S. marketplace, overseeing pilot production and seeking new talent. She joined Endemol in 2001, prior to which she worked in development at Telepictures.

Smith will continue to oversee all of Endemol’s on-air series. Smith joined Endemol in 2002 after serving as a supervising producer for the syndicated news magazine “Extra” at Telepictures.

Milkes will continue to guide the company’s operations and corporate development activities in North America. Prior to joining Endemol in 2007, he worked for Control Room/Live Earth.

Day will continue to oversee unscripted and consult on scripted programming. He began working exclusively for Endemol in 2003 and joined the executive team in 2006.
