DraftKings Appoints Licensing Exec

DraftKings has appointed veteran marketing executive Janet Holian as global chief marketing officer.

In her new role, Holian will oversee worldwide revenue, brand licensing, game operations and events, sponsorships and advertising for the daily fantasy sports platform. She will also oversee the company’s global marketing program and international expansion.

Holian has served as a strategic advisor to DraftKings since its inception, however prior to joining the company, she served as chief executive officer of Gemvara, an online retailer of custom-made fine jewelry.

Last September, the NFL Players Association, via its licensing arm NFL Players Inc., teamed up with the site to feature some of the NFL’s top-rated players in the company's marketing efforts.
