Dollar General Names Chief Merchandising Officer

Jason Reiser will succeed Jim Thorpe, who recently retired from the retail company.

NORTH AMERICA-Dollar General has tapped Jason Reiser to join the company as executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.

Reiser will succeed Jim Thorpe, who recently retired.

Most recently, Reiser served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Vitamin Shoppe and was responsible for merchandising, operations and supply chain. Prior to that, he was the chief merchandising officer at Family Dollar. He also served as vice president of merchandising and health and family care at Sam’s Club.
