Mattel has tapped Disney Channel veteran Adam Bonnett to serve as the executive producer of Mattel Television.

Mattel has tapped Disney Channel veteran Adam Bonnett to serve as the executive producer of Mattel Television. 

In his new role, Bonnett will oversee the global episodic content and production for live actions and animation based on Mattel’s portfolio of brands.

"Adam is an extraordinarily talented executive with a proven track record of developing high-quality TV content that captures the imagination of kids worldwide," says Richard Dickson, president and chief operating officer, Mattel. "Adding his expertise is another important step as we build out our franchise management capabilities to maximize the potential of our brands across a variety of channels and consumer touchpoints."

Previously, Bonnett oversaw original programming at Disney Channels Worldwide, where he led all live-action development, current original series and moves for Disney Channel.His remit also included programming, casting and talent relations. He served at Disney for 21 years.

Earlier roles include director of current programming at Nickelodeon, where he managed the “Kids’ Choice Awards” franchise.
