Disney has tapped animation vet Venessa Morrison to oversee development and production of Disney+ movies at Disney Studios’ live-action and 20th Century Studios divisions.

Vanessa Morrison has been promoted to president of streaming at Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production. Morrison will be in charge of development and production of Disney+ film content at Disney Studios’ live-action and 20th Century Studios divisions.

She will report to Sean Bailey, president, Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production. The announcement of her promotion comes just days after Khaki Jones and Emily Hart, two Disney Channel execs, took on new leadership roles on the Disney+ content team at Disney Channel.

Morrison most recently worked as president of Fox Family after serving as president of 20th Century Fox Animation for 10 years.

In addition to Morrison, exec Philip Steuer has been promoted to president, production at Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production; Randi Hiller has been promoted to external vice president, casting; and Steve Asbell has been appointed president of production at 20th Century Studios.
