Former HIT Entertainment exec will now oversee brand development.

Canada-based Corus Entertainment has appointed Pam Westman to the role of head of Nelvana Enterprises.

In her new role, Westman will oversee brand development and management across Nelvana’s global portfolio including retail management, licensing, consumer products, content sales and digital. She will also have an active role in setting Nelvana’s strategy within Corus’ larger portfolio of channels and brands. She will report to Scott Dyer, president, Nelvana.

Prior to joining Nelvana, Westman was the director of integration for Staples Canada. Before that, she was the executive vice president of HIT Entertainment and led the Canadian, U.S. and Latin American divisions. She was also part of the senior executive team that completed the sale of HIT to Mattel.

“As we focus on the continued growth of our international business and our strategy to own more content, convincing Pam to return to her roots in brand management was a real coup for Nelvana,” says Dyer. “Pam brings strong leadership skills as well as a wealth of experience to the organization.”
