Turner International's Johanne Broadfield has expanded her duties as vice president of Cartoon Network Enterprises EMEA and International Strategy.

Broadfield will continue to manage Turner’s licensing activities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa in a unit that includes product licensing, promotions, publishing, home entertainment, location-based entertainment, live events and retail development for Turner’s portfolio of brands.

She is now tasked with overseeing Turner’s international licensing strategy and partnering with Cartoon Network’s U.S. team for key decision-making. Broadfield will also take joint responsibility for the profit and loss of Cartoon Network’s licensing activities in Latin America alongside Pablo Zuccarino, senior vice president and general manager, Kids Latin America. In addition, she will form a close partnership with Vikram Sharma, vice president, Cartoon Network Enterprises, Asia Pacific in a strategic capacity.

“Since joining Turner five years ago, Jo has proven herself a talented leader with the ability to build and sustain our franchises in the licensing arena, raise the bar on what we deliver to our partners and get the very best out of those she works with,” says Giorgio Stock, president, Turner EMEA. “Together with the international L&M leadership team, she will now play an important role in shaping our international operation, to capitalize on opportunities, synergies and best practice across the regions.”

Broadfield joined Turner EMEA in February 2014. Before joining the company, she held various leadership positions in the consumer products division at Mattel including senior director for Continental Europe and senior director for U.K., Eastern Europe and Canada. Broadfield also served as head of Fisher-Price Consumer Products for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
