Turner EMEA has promoted Pierre Branco to the role of senior vice president and general manager for Northern Europe and MENAT, expanding his current duties to include the management of the company’s Middle East, Northern Africa, Turkey and Cyprus businesses.

Branco Expands Role at Turner

Branco will take on his new role on April 1.

In his expanded role, Branco will look for opportunities to maximize the growth of Turner’s MENAT portfolio in the region.

Branco assumed the role of senior vice president and general manager of Northern Europe in 2017.

During his tenure, he has worked to revitalize Cartoon Network in the U.K., launch Toonix, the first kids SVOD in the Nordics and bring Adult Swim to Channel 4 in the U.K.

Branco previously oversaw similar business in France and Africa for Turner. The MENAT portfolio comprises Cartoon Network and Boomerang English, Turkish and Arabic services, TCM and the distribution of CNNI.
