Boat Rocker Studios, the content, distribution and brands arm of Boat Rocker Media, has tapped Kate Schlomann to serve as the company’s executive vice president of brand management and content marketing.
In her new role, Schlomann will oversee all of Rocker’s brand, licensing and content marketing initiatives across scripted, factual and kids and family genres.
Before joining Boat Rocker, Schlomann worked at Mattel, where she served as vice president and general manager for Thomas & Friends and managed the brand worldwide across brand and marketing strategy, franchise management, creative execution and product development. Before that, she led global brand franchise and marketing for properties including "Bob the Builder," “Fireman Sam" and Barney.
Schlomann has more than 20 years of experience in leadership including roles as executive vice president, brand management and content marketing at Fremantle and select roles at Nickelodeon/Viacom.
The appointment is part of Boat Rocker's revamp and a period of rapid growth. Recently, Boat Rocker restructured the Rights and Studios business, which saw Jon Rutherford promoted to managing director of Boat Rocker Studios.
