Beano Studios has appointed Matt O’Mara to the newly created role of chief commercial officer.
O’Mara previously served as the chief executive officer of Vice U.K. In his new role at Beano Studios, O’Mara will be developing all aspects of the studios’ commercial position including creative agency services, media partnerships, licensing of show franchises and the commercialization of Beano’s Gen Alpha research and insight capabilities. He will report directly to Emma Scott, chief executive officer, Emma Scott.
“It’s an incredible time to be joining the business and the incredible talent across all areas,” says O’Mara. “I was planning to consult for a variety of companies but met Emma and knew Beano Studios was the place for me. I’ve spent the last decade targeting a 20-/30- something audience, so to be working in the kids’ and young adults’ space is fascinating, at a time when they are exerting more influence than ever on both society and consumer spending decision making. Beano Studios’ creative thinking, insight and incredible research capabilities can offer brands a significant market advantage in reaching the cohort and their parents.”
