BBC Worldwide has made new senior hires across business development, legal and finance for its Asia division, covering Greater China, India, Korea, Japan and South East Asia.

Amit Arora will serve as head of business development, Asia, where he will take on a strategy and business development brief across the region. He joins from Delta Partners, a specialist telecom, media and technology consultancy previously worked for Turner Broadcasting and Time Warner Cable in the U.S. Amit will report to Nick Percy, director of business development and digital for global markets.

Laura Byrnes has been appointed as vice president, head of business and legal affairs for Asia. She was previously director of legal and business affairs for NBCUniversal Asia Pacific, prior to which she worked for BSkyB and Turner/Time Warner. Laura will report to Robin Chalmers, director of business and legal affairs, global markets, U.K. and Australasia.

In his new role as vice president of finance, James Wildbore will be responsible for developing and managing the Asia division’s finances as well as providing commercial, operational, business developmental and strategic direction for the business. James is currently executive director of finance, Media Networks (Southeast Asia) at Disney in Singapore. James will report to Grant Welland, finance director, global markets.
