Alma Mater, a female-owned licensing apparel company in the U.S., has hired Karen Sanchez and Marcella Sanchez, further expanding its female footprint in licensed team apparel.

Karen Sanchez has signed on as Alma Mater’s production manager for its executive design team. As production manager, she will be responsible for leading the West Coast team in executing the production and logistics of all apparel lines and will play an integral role in bringing Alma Mater styles to the mass market. Previously, she has worked for Juicy Couture, Whetherly, Black Milk and Killspencer.

Meanwhile, Marcella Sanchez has joined the company as creative director and will be responsible for assisting the CEO in the design and execution of all licensed apparel lines for the company and its co-labels as well as managing West coast operations. Previously, she has worked with Urban Outfitters, Forever 21 and Bloomingdale’s.
