NORTH AMERICA—Activision Blizzard has appointed three industry veterans to further support the company's eSports Leagues division.

Daniel Cherry, who has taken on the role of chief marketing officer, will leverage more than 20 years of marketing experience to support the eSports group. Most recently, he served as the chief marketing and innovation officer for the New Jersey Devils and the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., where he ran marketing and sales strategy, branding and innovation, and served as a part of the senior leadership team that supported business operations across multiple professional sports and eSports teams.

Meanwhile, Marc Kolin was appointed to serve as vice president of finance and strategy. Most recently, he ran all analytics, financial planning and analysis, strategic initiatives and back-of-house accounting for Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles. Other roles included business development for both the National Football League and the National Basketball Association.

Finally, Brandon Snow has taken on the position of chief revenue officer. Previously, he served as senior vice president of team marketing and business operations at the National Basketball Association, where he worked to support all NBA, WNBA and NBA G League teams across all aspects of their business operations including ticket sales and service, sponsorship, marketing, digital and data strategy. Other roles included senior vice president of global marketing at NBA China.

“We’re committed to maintaining the highest degree of excellence and professionalism in our operation, as well as creating value for our fans, players and partners with every aspect of our leagues, and the addition of Daniel, Marc and Brandon to our management team reflects the depth of that commitment,” says Pete Vlastelica, president and chief executive officer, Activision Blizzard eSports Leagues and Major League Gaming. “I’m thrilled that these three talented organizational leaders are bringing their years of sports and entertainment experience to our team, and I look forward to working with each of them to further drive our ambitious marketing, commercialization and business-planning initiatives.”
