Studiocanal has tapped Zodiak Kids to take on the distribution rights for the animated adventure series “Sammy & Co,” which will launch at MIPTV, April 3-6. Zodiak Kids will also debut the series’ newly commissioned second season.
“Sammy & Co” follows the story of Ricky and Ella, who are soulmates and were born on the same day; just like Ella’s grandfather Sammy, and the love of his life, Shelly. They all live together in a coral reef village. Unable to resist the call of the ocean, they embark on a quest for a shark tooth, launch a daring rescue and face an attack by a giant squid, among other adventures.
