ZAG continues to build its Latin American licensing team on the heels of the recent appointments by appointing Melisa Fuhr as licensing and retail director, South America.

The announcement was made today by Julian Zag, executive vice president, global operations.

Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and reporting to Angela Cortez, vice president, consumer products, Fuhr will be responsible for licensing activities across South America. In Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia, she will oversee the efforts of ZAG's licensing agency, IMC; while in Chile and Peru, Fuhr will work directly with licensees and retail partners to strategize and implement licensing and retail promotions. She will focus on the company's flagship brand, "Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir" and the upcoming" Ghostforce."

Before joining ZAG, Fuhr spent 15 years with ARCOR SAIC, the largest confectionery manufacturer in Latin America. She became the company's licensing director, responsible for establishing and implementing the company's licensing division and oversaw the licensing, partnerships and promotions activities for all product categories. Fuhr developed and negotiated promotions and campaigns with partners including Disney, Universal, Nickelodeon and Fox. She continued to grow her experience in the licensing business this last year, serving as licensing director south of Latin America for El Reino Infantil, a Spanish language YouTube channel for kids internationally.

"There are myriad opportunities to expand our consumer products efforts in Latin America, and under Angela's leadership, Betsabe and Melisa will lead our consumer products activities in all the key markets across the region," says Zag. "In Argentina, Playmates and ZAG Labs' distributor Caffaro launched the most recent Miraculous toy line with excellent results, and in Chile and Peru, our distributor Wish Trade will debut the toys in October 2021. With growing excitement for the launch of our 'Miraculous' theatrical movie at the end of the year, and with season four starting to roll out across the region, we are excited to have a solid team in place to maximize our strategy and bring countless opportunities for fans to engage with our brands."
