‘Yo-Kai Watch’ Reveals 2017 Initiatives

Viz Media Europe has revealed its plans to release new products and content this year for the animated television series “Yo-Kai Watch.”

First, Hasbro, the brand’s global master toy licensee, will release a new toy line including a new model of the Yo-kai watch toy and collectible medals equipped with Yo-motion technology, which projects the Yo-kai’s images. The first “Yo-Kai Watch” trading card game, which is available in France, is also slated to launch in other European countries next spring.

Next, Nintendo will release the “Yo-Kai Watch” 3DS game, which will be available in two versions–“Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits” and “Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls." Meanwhile, Level-5 will launch “Wibble Wobble,” a free-to-play mobile app, this spring. Two additional “Yo-Kai Watch” apps will launch in July and October.

Additionally, all 50 episodes of season 2 of “Yo-Kai Watch” premiered on paid-TV last January in France and will be available on free-TV this spring. Season one of the series will also launch on Netflix in July.

Finally, Viz Media Europe will release Yo-Kai Watch: The Movie this summer.
