Viz Media Europe has appointed CPLG to represent the Japanese brand "Yo-Kai Watch," which is readying for its European debut, in Benelux and Italy.

CPLG joins a growing roster of agents for the brand, which follows an average boy who gets a special watch that empowers him to discover mysterious beings called Yo-Kai that cause little nuisances in daily life.

"'Yo-Kai Watch' is a proven success with high consumer appeal," says Aadil Tayouga, EMEA licensing manager, Viz Media Europe Group. "We are convinced that, with their retail focus and brand expertise, CPLG is the best partner to extend the licensing phenomenon in these two key markets."

Global master toy licensee Hasbro has also unveiled details of its product line, which will hit shelves in 2016; and Nintendo will release a localized version of the video game in spring 2016 in Europe.
