Texas-based theme park will feature DC Entertainment’s iconic super heroine on the world’s first single-rail coaster.
NORTH AMERICA–Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, has tapped Six Flags Fiesta Texas to develop a new roller coaster inspired by Wonder Woman.
The new ride, titled Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster, will take park guests straight down a 90-degree drop before racing through two airtime hills, one 180-degree stall, a zero-g roll and overbanked turns. The ride will also feature a Princess Diana in a Themyscira visual storyline throughout the line, as well as Wonder Woman likenesses and Steve Trevor’s crashed plane.
The ride will also mark the world’s first single-rail coaster.
“Six Flags continues to lead the industry in introducing innovative coasters, rides and attractions and Fiesta Texas boasts a number of technological firsts including the world’s largest rocket blast water coaster–Thunder Rapids; the country’s first tower drop virtual reality attraction–Drop of Doom, and Batman: The Ride 4D Free Fly Coaster,” says Jeffrey Siebert, park president, Six Flags Fiesta Texas. “Continuing that tradition, Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster joins her fellow DC Super Heroes as the first-ever single rail streamline designed coaster.”
The Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster is set to open at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in spring 2018.
