Strawberry Shortcake's brand-new Netflix series "Berry in the Big City" has welcomed numerous new consumer product deals signed by WildBrain CPLG and its licensing agency. "Strawberry Shortcake's evergreen status as a cherished brand continues to attract major partners across the entertainment and licensing industry," says Michael Riley, chief brands officer, WildBrain. "We look forward to building on these strong foundations as we continue to roll out the new Strawberry Shortcake for fans to enjoy on and off the screen."

The established partnership program has built a global rollout of gaming, music, toys, apparel and food to launch alongside the animated series and four additional CGI seasonal specials.

Building on that program, WildBrain CPLG has now signed new partners from across the vintage and contemporary side of the Strawberry Shortcake brand.

"Strawberry Shortcake has always had enduring popularity, and the relaunch has seen the excitement around this property ramp up," says Jasen Wright, vice president, North America, WildBrain CPLG. "We've seen strong interest from licensees in WildBrain's new version of the brand, and that halo is fueling a simultaneous renaissance around the classic brand from the 1980s, all of which is testament to the strength of Strawberry Shortcake's appeal across generations."

The new consumer product and promotional campaign partners for WildBrain's "Berry in the Big City" include the educational cooking brand I'm the Chef Too and Bahama Buck's ice cream.

The new partners join the list of previously announced licensees, including master toy partner Moose Toys and Penguin Random House, plus promotional partners Naturipe, Sunkist Growers and Envy Apples (fruit), Zolli Candy (dentist-approved lollipops), Dippin' Dots (ice cream), Snip-Its (kids' hair salons) and Challenge Butter.

Classic Strawberry Shortcake is also enjoying a surge in interest from licensees with multiple new deals signed. Dolls Kill has signed apparel, outerwear, swimwear, loungewear, intimates, accessories, footwear and home for ladies and junior stores across the US and worldwide online. Unique Vintage will launch apparel, accessories and home ranges worldwide.

Designer Samii Ryan will also be releasing a Strawberry Shortcake apparel and accessories collaboration for early 2022, while PacSun will be launching ladies and junior holiday collections by The Forecast Agency.
