Warner Bros. Consumer Products U.K. is adding to the DC Comics licensing program with new licensees and extensions.

“The DC Comics brand continues to prove that it has the power to cross into all major product categories,” says Preston Kevin Lewis, general manager, WBCP U.K. “The age and gender boundaries traditionally associated with Super Heroes no longer apply. Like these deals show, franchises from DC Comics have true mass market appeal and the potential of the portfolio is infinite.”

Emporium Eyewear has been tapped to manufacture DC Comics eyeglasses for children. The new line is comprised of three phases–a classic Batman and Superman range, which will launch this summer; a Justice League range that is set to hit retail in October; and a Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice eyewear collection that will launch in February 2016. The collections will be on shelf at independent opticians and mass retailers including Boots, Vision Express, Optical Express and ASDA.

WBCP U.K. has extended its partnership with Character World to develop home textile products that tap into the Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman characters for products for men, women, boys and girls.

Finally, Corsair is on board to expand upon its existing toiletries and fragrance ranges to deliver complimentary new products such as sponges and 2D Batmobile bubble bath. The expanded range will build upon the Superman, Justice League and Wonder Woman properties and launch in 2016.
