Warner Bros. Consumer Products has signed a slate of global licensees, led by master toy partner Bandai America, for its upcoming film Godzilla.

The Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ film will arrive in theaters May 16, 2014.

"We believe that our new theatrical film brings a bold new take on Godzilla that will energize and mobilize fans on a worldwide basis and like never before," says Joel Chiodi, executive vice president, theatrical marketing, Legendary Entertainment. "This licensing program is an augmentation of the filmed entertainment experience, and while it will rally the powerful base, Godzilla the movie will introduce a whole new generation of fans to this franchise."

The product program for the film already includes licensees for toys and figures, apparel and accessories, costumes and publishing with global master toy partner Bandai planning action figures and play sets.

Additional licensees developing product include NECA with gifts and novelties; Jakks Pacific with large-scale figures; Bioworld with apparel; and Sideshow Collectibles with authentic statues. Trevco will also release a line of t-shirts and apparel, while Rubie’s will design Godzilla costumes.

Products inspired by the film will be available at retailers worldwide.

The Godzilla deals were announced at Licensing Expo, which is taking place this week in Las Vegas, Nev.

Other highlights of WBCP’s portfolio include:

300: Rise of an Empire: Licensees are lining up for Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ 2014 release 300: Rise of an Empire, which will build on the legacy of the worldwide blockbuster 300. Among the partners creating product inspired by the film are Noble Collection for prop replicas and Museum Replicas with authentically crafted costumes. Changes will debut t-shirts and accessories and Trends will offer posters and calendars featuring art from the film. Also supporting are Funko with figures and bobbleheads, Tonner with collectible dolls, CaféPress with fan products and Mondo with art posters.

'Teen Titans Go!': WBCP has tapped Jazwares for toys and electronics for Warner Bros. Animation’s new comedy adventure series “Teen Titans Go!.” Based on the DC Comics Super Heroes, “Teen Titans Go!” airs on Cartoon Network. The Jazwares master toy line for the hit show will arrive at Toys R’ Us in time for the holidays. The line will feature action figures, plush and role play toys.

The Wizard of Oz: In support of the 75th anniversary of the film and its upcoming 3D theatrical release, WBCP has signed up 80 licensees including master toy partner Jazwares, along with Mattel, Rubie’s, Hallmark, HarperCollins, Lionel, Steiff, USAopoly, Thomas Kinkade. Special commemorative anniversary product will be available across a wide array of categories including apparel, jewelry, collectibles, publishing, stationery and paper goods, toys and games, slot machines and personal care.

The Hobbit: Product continues to roll out as fans await the second and third films in The Hobbit trilogy from partners such as co-master toy partners The Bridge Direct and Vivid Group, Weta Workshop, United Cutlery, Noble Collection, the New Zealand Post, HarperCollins and Black Milk Clothing.
