Warner Bros. Consumer Products has teamed up with a slate of global licensees to support the upcoming animated film The LEGO Batman Movie, in theaters Feb. 10.

“We’re excited to bring the immersive world of The LEGO Batman Movie to all fans around the world with our best-in-class partners, products and ‘retailtainment’ programs,” says Pam Lifford, president, WBCP. “Our licensing and merchandising program invites fans to play, collect and build on their love for LEGO and Batman.”

The licensing and merchandising program is led by the partnership between WBCP and The LEGO Group, which is set to launch more than 10 original construction sets that will bring the film to life. The construction sets will also feature a new mini-figure set, which will highlight 20 exclusive characters from the film.

On the apparel front, WBCP has partnered with fashion labels such as Bioworld, Isaac Morris, Evy, SGI, Handcraft and Fast Forward to support the film with a variety of fashion lines, including t-shirts, sportswear, swimwear, sleepwear, underwear and backpacks.

Meanwhile, in publishing, WBCP has tapped DK Publishing, Scholastic, Ameet and Blue Ocean for a host of titles including storybooks, readers, activity books, sticker books, magazines, junior novels, guide books and a behind-the-scenes film guide.

Additional licensees for the movie include Disguise for LEGO Batman and LEGO Batgirl costumes; Hallmark for greeting cards, gift presentation and ornaments; Party City/Amscan’s for party goods; Clic Time for watches and clocks; Sakar for electronics and accessories; Trends International for posters and calendars; and Franco Manufacturing for home décor including bedding, throws and beach towels; among many others.

The film will also receive worldwide retail support from global retailers such as Walmart, Target, Toys ‘R’ Us, Kohl’s, Macy’s, H&M, The Children’s Place, Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million and many more. Retail support includes exclusive merchandise, product displays, in-store events and activations, in-store giveaways and more.

Finally, LEGO Batman Movie merchandise tailored to local markets will also be available across EMEA, Asia-Pacific and Australia/New Zealand from a variety of licensees including home goods from Character World; apparel from Caprice; back-to-school products from Sambro; calendars and posters from Pyramid and more. International retailers on board include ASDA, Argos, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Carrefour, Toys Center, Amazon and many more.
