Lagardère Active’s TV division has picked up Vodka’s new kids’ series “Bugsted” for both its Gulli and Canal J channels.

Aimed at kids ages 8- to 11-years-old, the new multi-platform property will be available as a TV mini-series (13 x 1) and a gaming-app for iPhone, iPad and Android.

In addition to airing “Bugsted,” Lagardère Active’s licensing and new business department has been appointed as the brand’s licensing agent in France. Additionally, Simba has been named as master toy licensee in the EMEA region, will toys being rolled out simultaneously with the game app and TV series in the third quarter of this year.

“Bugsted” follows the crazy adventures of a group of mutated bugs from the Moon that accidentally wind up on planet Earth.
