On the heels of a successful North American TV launch (Cartoon Network in the U.S. and Teletoon in Canada) and in conjunction with its expansion into Asian territories, Viz Media Europe is featuring its new series “Tenkai Knights” to media buyers from EMEA this week at MIPJunior and MIPCOM in Cannes, France.

“Tenkai Knights” is a new boys action franchise inspired by the Spin Master toy concept.

The 52 x 30 TV series is co-produced by Shogakukan-Shueisha Production and Spin Master and targeted to boys ages 6 to 12. “Tenkai Knights” will be supported by a toy line, webisodes, mobile games and video games.

Among the licensing partners on board in North America are Penguin Group (publishing), Freeze (apparel), Accessory Innovations (accessories and headwear), Franco (home goods) and Buy Seasons (party goods and electronic accessories).

VIZ Media Europe is distributing the show and handling merchandising rights in EMEA, while Spin Master is distributing the series in North and South America, and ShoPro in Asian territories.
